HealthOne, a shared electronic health record system, is currently (July 2025) accessed via an application on pharmacies' servers. They are launching a new HealthOne Viewer web application to be accessed from within Toniq Dispensary.
As HealthOne rolls out the new application to pharmacies, Toniq, from version 6.3, will have the following functionality:
- In the prescribing screen, the HealthOne Viewer option under F10 Other launches the HealthOne web app on the PC's default browser (not the app on the server):
- The HealthOne View web app requires the following information:
- Patient NHI
- Staff member's name and ID
- Pharmacy's Facility HPI
- Note: if any of these details are missing, Toniq will notify the user with an error message (see below for fixes).
Access to the HealthOne Viewer requires a valid logged-on user. For example, it cannot be accessed by Toniq using the Super Password.
Staff Record
To check a staff member's record and add their registration number:
- From the main menu, go to 7. Administration, 5. Maintain staff/workgroups, then 1. Maintain staff.
- Search for the user or add a new staff member using F3 Add.
- Ensure that they have the Surname, First names and Staff Id fields completed.
- Press F12 Accept Details to save.
Patient Record
Ensure that the selected patient has an NHI and that it is valid.
- An unvalidated NHI displays in red on the prescription entry screen:
- If the patient's NHI is missing or unvalidated, press F2 Edit Patient, then use the options under F3 NHI Lookup to find and validate their NHI:
- A successfully validated NHI is black on the prescription entry screen:
