Under the direction of Health NZ, we have introduced the ability to process prescriptions with a 2 code. To correctly process, charge, and claim co-payments for Community Service Card (CSC) holders, 2 prescription codes will be able to be selected during the dispensing of prescriptions in Toniq from 1 February 2025.
The 2 code will charge CSC holders a $5 co-payment for prescriptions from non-approved providers such as dentists and private specialists (provided co-payment is payable - see table below). Dispensings under a 2 code with a $5 co-pay will contribute to the person's or family's Prescription Subsidy Card (PSC) count.
