When a patient is issued a Community Services Card (CSC) by the Ministry of Social Development (MSD), its appearance in the Health NZ Entitlement API that Toniq Dispensary uses for automatic CSC lookups may be delayed.
This means that the Automatic CSC Lookup will show a green tick, indicating a successful lookup, but will not show the patient's CSC Card in Dispensary because it is not yet recorded in the Health NZ API.
A patient's CSC can be loaded against a patient's record manually if the patient presents their card to the pharmacy:
Te Whatu Ora (TWO) is aware of the issue (see attachment below) and advises that pharmacies can call the NHI line (0800 855 066, option 1) and if they quote their claimant number, TWO can load the card details immediately.
