Grouped Repeats

Use this feature to issue repeats in bulk to a group of patients who have the same medicine. It is designed for the quick generation of repeat medications to patients in the Opioid Substitution Treatment (OST) program but may be used for any medicine.

Note: This feature generates repeats only, not new prescriptions. 

The selected medicine can be filtered by patients with a specific Rx Note on their prescription or Note on their patient record, or patients grouped in an Institution:

Example: The criteria in the above screenshot would find the afternoon dose prescriptions for all patients with PM dose on Biodone Forte prescriptions.

Process

1. To get to the grouped repeats functionality, from the main menu, go to 9. Other and then 1. Grouped repeats.
   
   
2. Select the Medicine for which repeats are required and any other criteria needed to get the right patients, then press F12 Accept Details.
   
   
3. Select the number of repeats the patients are to Consume and/or Take away using the F5 C'nsume or F7 Take Away function keys:
   
   
   • Note: F6 C'nsume All sets the Consume amount to 1 for all patients listed.
     
     
4. Press F12 Accept Details.
   
   
5. You will then be prompted for which date you would like the repeats to be generated:
   
   
   
   • If option 7 is selected, enter the required date for the repeats:
     
     
     
6. A message stating the number of repeats generated will be displayed and a summary report will be printed with the dispensing details.
