Inactivate repeats to ensure stopped medicines are not issued in error.
Process
- Highlight the original /1 dispensing on the patient history grid:
- Press F2 View/Edit, then F2 Edit Rx.
- Select F10 Other and choose V - Inactivate repeats/copies.
- Press F12 Accept Rx then F11 End Edit to save the changes.
Once the repeats have been inactivated:
- A red I is displayed in the Owe/Status column of the history grid,
- The red repeat dots change to grey on the history grid, and
- The dark grey grid summary line shows the inactive status:
- Viewing the script, it shows that it has been inactivated, when, and by whom, in red on the bottom left of the screen:
To Re-activate an Inactive Repeat
On the original dispensing on the patient history grid:
- Press F2 View/Edit, then F2 Edit Rx.
- Select F10 Other and choose V - Inactivate repeats/copies.
- Press F12 Accept Rx then F11 End Edit to save the changes.
The Inactivate repeats/copies option toggles between activate and inactive.
