Guard - External Destructions

An external destruction does not adjust Dispensary stock levels but does add a destruction transaction to the Destruction Page in Toniq Guard.

• External Destructions are used when patients, or members of the public, return controlled drugs to the original dispensing pharmacy or another.

Process

• Find the medicine's stock card in Toniq Dispensary, press F4 Stock and select the F10 Destroy Stock option.

• Select the External to pharmacy option, enter a quantity, the patient, and the reason for destruction.
  • If not a patient of the pharmacy, enter their name in the reason instead.
• In Toniq Guard this will display as a line on the Destructions Page.
