CSSetup: Setting up a new server or workstation

What is CSSetup?

CSSetup is a utility used to set the server pc on the network.

If a new pc is added this will need to be run on the existing server or if the server has moved then it will need to be run on the new server to point all workstations to the new server.

CSSetup installs and provides credentials to the Toniq services listed below

• Data Updates

• EChart Server

• EPrescribing server

• HTTP Service

• Inbox Service

• PDR Exporter

• Southern Cross Server

• eShopLink Manager Service

• Toniq Vault

The credentials that CSSetup is run with will be the credentials that these services will run with each time the program is run, even if the logged in user is changed. (e.g. If CSSetup is run as Administrator but day to day they log on as User then all services will run as Administrator) See Initial Windows setup for more details.

Workstation selection

CSSetup searches the network for all pc’s to link to the server. The list can be filtered by creating a txt file called computers.txt located in C:\ToniqFiles, and putting a pc name per line into the file to explicitly list pc’s to configure.

A Tilde (~) before a pc name will exclude that pc from a search. This can be especially useful to prevent CSSetup from connecting to non-computer devices such as network printers.

How to Run

To run, open the Start menu and type in CSSetup, or browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Dispensary\ and run the CSSetup.exe from there.

If there is a computers.txt file, it will show with a red information line at the top with an option to edit the text file.

Click on Setup to begin configuring the Toniq workstations to point to the Toniq Server PC (the pc you are running CsSetup on)

If the logged on Windows user has a password then it will prompt for a password.

At this stage you may get a prompt for a Toniq password if this is a new server, Contact Toniq support for this when required.

If there is no internet access you may get the following error, CSSetup will need to be re-run at a later date when access is restored.

Once it has finished processing you will get a list of the computers that have succeeded.

You will notice some buttons at the bottom of CSSetup for the services maintained by Toniq. When you run CSSetup it configures the Toniq services to run with the same permissions that CSSetup has been run with.

Any services that have started should be listed with a button to stop them if necessary.

The list will also show the version number for each succeeded pc, if there are discrepancies they will be highlighted and a warning will appear.

In our example one has succeeded and one failed. Clicking on Details >> will list the reason for failure.

Failed to Connect To Registry is most likely to be one of two things:

1. a permissions issue related to username/password

2. or the Remote registry service on the workstation is not running
