Configure Toniq SQL Server Settings with SQLSetup

SQLSetup is a bundled utility with the Toniq installation that allows us to configure Toniq to point towards a particular SQL Instance and the database name holding the Toniq information.

Open SQL Setup by searching in the start menu for SQLSetup or in the Dispensary folder (c:\Program Files (x86)\Dispensary\)

Click on the drop down arrow for Server Computer and select the correct SQL Instance.

 

The list will show all SQL instances on the local network

In the above screenshot we have 3 choices, SQL2016, SQL2017 and SQLEXPRESS.

In most cases select the local computer instance called SQLEXPRESS, in our example above this is DAVIDS\SQLEXPRESS.

 

We have chosen SQL2017 in this example. It will list the version number underneath.

Next step is to select the database name, the Default for Toniq sites is ToniqDatabase.

Click Save then Close to complete the selection.
