Using NZePS Tokens

Prescribing vendor systems may send prescription Tokens to patients, allowing prescribers to send the barcode of an e‑prescription (SCID) without sending the full prescription.

 

Toniq Dispensary can use the NZePS Tokens to display the legal prescription images on the side panel.

After the prescriber provides the patient with an electronic Token (i.e. barcode), and they present it at their preferred pharmacy, the pharmacy can print and dispense this prescription.

Process

• Scan or enter the Token in the prescription entry screen.
  • The Side Panel will display the legal prescription image:
    
    
     
• Print the script by right-clicking the prescription image in the Side Panel and selecting Print:
  
  
   
• Complete the dispensing in the usual manner.
