If scanned eprescriptions display by brand during dispensing, and F8 Flip Meds needs to be used, this could be due to:
Toniq Dispensary Setting
- If it is preferred that all eprescriptions display as generic, when the prescriber has not specified it should be dispensed by brand:
- From the main menu, go to 7. Administration, 6. Exports setup, then 3. E Prescribing setup.
- Tick Flip medicine to generic where possible.

Prescriber Setting
- If the option Flip medicine to generic where possible is already enabled in Dispensary, it means the prescriber’s PMS system is configured to issue all scripts by brand.
- For example, if the option Generic Substitution Allowed (as shown in the Indici screenshot below) is unticked, all eprescriptions from that doctor will display by brand name rather than generic:
