From 1 September 2025, Douglas operates under two separate legal entities: Douglas Pharmaceuticals Limited and Healthcare by Douglas Limited. For more details, please refer to the Correspondence from Healthcare by Douglas at the end of this article.
Changes Required in Toniq from 1 September
Dispensary
No changes are required. Your existing Douglas supplier and customer number will remain valid for ordering through Toniq Dispensary.
Retail
Create a new supplier: Healthcare by Douglas
- From the main menu of Retail, go to 2. Stock control, then 7. Maintain suppliers.
- Search for Doug.
- If Healthcare by Douglas already exists, select this supplier and ensure there is also an old Douglas supplier.
- If the new Healthcare by Douglas supplier does not exist, press F3 Add.
- Enter the following details:
- Name: Healthcare by Douglas
- Format: U
- Customer No.: the new customer number (sent via courier)
- EO URL: http://orders.douglas.co.nz:8080/
- Any additional information you wish to include with the supplier profile.
- Press F12 Accept Details.
Add and update the new Healthcare by Douglas pricelist
- Follow the steps in the Adding a New Retail Pricelist article.
Update Order Types
- From the main menu, go to 2. Stock Control, 1. Orders, then 1. New order.
- Search and select one of the regular Douglas order types.
- Change the Supplier to Healthcare by Douglas.
- Change Pricelists: remove Douglas from the list and add Healthcare by Douglas.
- Press F12 Accept Details.
- This saves the changes made to the Order Type, and an order will be generated. If not required, it can be deleted afterwards.
