A requirement for Toniq Guard is the transactions must be tracked against a practitioner's CPN. As part of the onboarding process, Toniq will ensure the new Practitioners Lookup API is used by Toniq Dispensary, replacing Doctor Lookup.
Practitioner Lookup has access to all Practitioners. It shows the CPN (Common Person Number) and Status of the prescriber's registration:
Process
To update a prescriber via the API:
- Press F2 Edit Prescriber,
- Press F7 Practitioner Lookup, then
- Select P Look up Practitioner.
Initial Setup
It is recommended that regular prescribers are looked up using the new Practitioners API before the go-live date. However, if a medicine initiated in Toniq Guard is dispensed against a prescriber without a CPN, a prompt to perform this step will display which goes directly to the Edit Prescriber screen.
