The Bulk Edit Patient report can be used to find high-value patients, e.g. those likely to have 20 or more scripts and become exempt.
Once you have identified these patients, set a prompt to remind staff how to process these prescriptions.
From the main menu, go to:
- 9. Other, 2. Bulk edit patients and begin a new search by pressing F3 Add.
- Specify a date range in the Period, e.g. the last 12 months.
- Tick Original Rx only.
- If you only want to target those who will soon pay a co-payment, Enter Age 14 to 64.
- Enter Items 20 and leave to blank.
- This is the easiest way to identify high-value patients.
- Then press F12 Accept details.
The report will present a list of high-value patients. You can sort the list by number of items or by value.
Add a note and prompt to the patients
When the report has been run, a note can be set against each patient which can be used for reporting purposes:
- Press F5 Set note and choose 1 Append to note.
- This will ensure that notes already attached to patients will not be over-written.
- Enter informative note text, prefixed by a space.
- The space is so the new note does not run together with another note the patient may have.
- Press F12 Accept Details to save.
- Optional: use F5 Set note > 7 Set / Unset 'Prompt note' if the note requires Toniq users to do something, e.g., remove the co-pay from a script, so the user is prompted with the note when the patient is selected.
- If desired, these patients can be contacted using F9 Contact Clients.
