If you are applying discounts regularly within your system, either as Store Wide quick discounts, manual sale discounts, or client assigned discounts, you may consider configuring products with no discount, or a maximum discount %.
This is achieved by setting the Max Discount on your product.
When maintaining the product, the Max Discount field is on the first page of options.
No Discount
If you don’t want the product to be sold with any discount, the Max Discount should be 0%. This is a good idea for products which a very slim profit margin.
Maximum Discount x%
Sometimes the products profit margin is smaller than other products, and you still want to offer a discount, but only up to a specific %. Enter the percentage discount.
Discounts can be saved as a decimal as well.

MPIB can be used to find and apply Max Discounts onto products.

Selecting products with an existing Max Discount set.
- On page 1 options, bottom middle: ‘Has max discount’
- F12 [Accept Details]
Setting Max Discount to the bulk list.
Once the list is selected, you can add or remove products as required.
- F6 [Set Prices]
- M Max discount %
- Enter the desired discount %
- F12 [Accept Details] twice, Yes to prompt
