Many retailers like to use plastic loyalty cards in conjunction with their loyalty or bonus clubs. These cards are barcoded for easy scanning and serve to identify the client at the Point of Sale - while also acting as a popular form of advertising.
NOTE: A Retail club card is not the same thing as a plastic Loyalty ID card. A Retail club card is the electronic equivalent of a sheet of paper (a record), detailing what club items the customer has bought and when they bought them. A Loyalty ID card is a plastic card that is scanned to identify / recall the client at POS. |
Loyalty Cards can be handed out at the time of joining customers to the club, or they can be added later and sent out to customers. It is recommended to assign the plastic loyalty card to the client record and hand the physical card to the customer at the same time.
