Regular INR results are necessary for reviewing a patient's warfarin. INR results can be recorded under the Attention Bar by users with the Doctor, Other Prescriber, Practice Nurse, Clinical Administrator, Nurse, Pharmacist, and Pharmacy Technician roles.
Setting up INR Recording
Users can enable INR recording at their ends. To record INR results in 1CHART, the ‘Warfarin/INR’ button must be added to the patient’s Attention Bar.
Tick ‘Patient on Warfarin’ and save the changes.
A button will now appear in the Attention Bar for this patient.
Recording INR
To add an INR record to 1CHART, the user can click the Warfarin/INR button in the patient's Attention Bar.
The INR result can be added into the INR field. If the INR was taken prior to today, change the ‘Date of INR’ to the date of the INR result. Save the changes. (Note: Only today's date or a date in the past may be selected.)
Viewing Past INR Results
To view past INR results, click on the ‘Warfarin/INR’ button. All recorded results will appear, starting with the most recent entry.
Scroll to the date(s) or record(s) you're looking for.
Disabling an INR Record
Users can disable INR records in 1CHART if they have made an error. To do so, they can click the 'X' alongside the record they wish to disable.
Disabled records will appear in grey. An INR record cannot be deleted once entered. It can only be disabled.
NB: Users can only disable INR records they have entered themselves. They cannot disable other users' entries.
