For many years Toniq has provided a Pricelist service to allow suppliers to have one point of contact to distribute product and pricing data to retailers across New Zealand. This service has proved of great value to both retailers and suppliers by ensuring the accuracy of product data, pricing, and stock ordering.
Over the last two decades, there have been many changes in retailing and supply chain and, as these changes have occurred, both suppliers' and retailers’ expectations have changed. To ensure that Toniq can continue to offer and improve on this valuable service to the benefit of suppliers and retailers, we have updated the price list service.
Introducing the Toniq Product Catalogue
The Toniq Product Catalogue (TPC) focuses on collecting richer product data from suppliers and setting the standard across the retail pharmacy industry. Enriched data will allow for enhancements that will streamline the ordering process and allow for more suppliers to utilise our electronic ordering service.
Toniq TPC platform enables you to view and maintain your product catalogue. It simplifies the product request process and provides instant feedback if certain standards are not met. New product requests or product change requests that have been submitted will go through an exacting quality assurance process before being made available to end users.
To provide this service Toniq has a team of data experts ensuring that your product information is published to retailers quickly and with a high degree of accuracy and standardisation. Those data standards are laid out in the TPC Data Standards article.
TPC in Toniq Retail
Toniq Retail is a point-of-sale system installed in many stores throughout New Zealand. Electronic price files are prepared and loaded into the Retail system using up-to-date product information received from suppliers.
Accurate, timely, and complete information forwarded to Toniq ensures that all available items are listed in the stockist’s computer system. This streamlines product management - orders, inward goods, sales reports, repricing, and POS sales. In addition, products on price files have a raised profile in the pharmacy.
All retail sales products should be listed – including promotions, one-shot offers, and gift lines.
Note: Free items such as testers, gift-with-purchase, and POS support materials. are not included in price lists.
Distribution
On completion of processing, updated price files are immediately posted on our secure web server for stores to download into their Toniq Retail systems. Suppliers are notified by email when the file has been processed.
Confidentiality
All information submitted to Toniq is treated confidentially.
- Product information supplied to Toniq will only be used for the purpose of preparing price list files.
- Product information is distributed only in the form of a price file prepared by Toniq, which is password protected.
- All data received via TPC remains confidential to Toniq staff preparing price files. It is not circulated within Toniq, or to any external party.
