What are Interstores?
Interstoring is the ability to sell items to another Pharmacy or your Dispensary at Last Cost + GST.
When processing Interstore transactions through POS Selling, you must select F7 [Interstore] BEFORE adding any items to the sale.
Are my Interstores Counted as Sales?
Not normally. But this depends on how your Retail system is configured.
From the Main Menu:
- 7 Administration
- 1 Setup
- 8 General options
- 'Count Interstore as sale' can be ticked or unticked accordingly.
How does this setting affect common reporting?
If Interstores ARE being counted as Sales (ticked):
Sales Analysis I/S Sales figures are NOT included
Seller & Visit Performance I/S Sales figures are NOT included.
Product Performance I/S Sales figures ARE included
Key Indicators I/S Sales figures ARE included, as a ‘Sale $’ value & ‘Items sold’
Stock Profit I/S Sales figures ARE included, as a ‘Sales’ value
Stats (F6) in product card I/S Sales figures ARE included, as ‘Quant. Sold’ & ‘Val. Sold’
If Interstores ARE NOT being counted as Sales (unticked):
Sales Analysis I/S Sales figures are NOT included
Seller & Visit Performance I/S Sales figures are NOT included
Product Performance I/S Sales figures are NOT included
Key Indicators I/S Sales figures ARE included, as a NEGATIVE ‘Buy $’ value
Stock Profit I/S Sales figures ARE included, as a NEGATIVE ‘Purch’ value
Stats (F6) in product card I/S Sales figures ARE incl as NEGATIVE ‘Quant. Purch’ & NEGATIVE ‘Val.Purch’
Stock Re-ordering
If your Interstores are set to “Count as Sales” the Toniq automatic ordering algorithm will already take
these items into account, as they are processed as a sale.
If your Interstores are NOT set to Count as Sales, these items (which are processed as negative
purchases rather than a sale) do NOT calculate in the reordering algorithm.
As such it is a good idea to set a Re-Order Point on regularly Interstored items to ensure that the shop will always carry a certain quantity.
(In Maintain Products recall the item, F4. Stock and into the ReOp field type in the lowest quantity that
you want Retail to always have available on the shelf and set the ReOq to A). The system will place this item into your order when the SOH falls below this set quantity.
To check whether your Interstores are set to ‘Count as Sales’ or not, go into 7. Administration, 1. Setup, 8.
General Options. Check the ‘Count Interstore as sales’ option.
