Dispensary Ordering - Outer Packs

Order Type

To see outer packs in orders, select the appropriate supplier's price list on the Order Type:

• From the main menu, go to 2. Stock Control, 1. New order, then select an order type (e.g. Daily Order):
  
  
  
• To select a Med Price List, press the space bar and select the relevant price list:
  
  
  
• Set an Outer pack margin:
  
  
  • The value 0.80 means that if the order quantity is over 80% of an outer pack, the full outer will be ordered.
    
    
  • Press F12 Accept Details to save the settings for future orders and to create an order.

The Order

• The order screen will have values in the Outer Pack column for products that have outers.
  
  
• The program will automatically increase the quantity to an outer pack, as determined by the order parameters, and display the Buy quantity in purple:
  

Note: If medicine stock cards have Max SOH, ReOp. or ReOq. set, Order type parameters such as Outer pack margin, are ignored and the automatic increase to buy the full outer pack is disabled (see Why are some items not coming into my orders?).
