What Information About Subsidy Status is Available in an Order?

Sole or To be Sole Supply

Medicine names that are sole supply (or about to be sole supply) are listed in green.  

Reference Pricing

The blue supply information panel shows subsidy status information. This includes sole supply, delisting and reference pricing dates. All these dates are sourced from Pharmac and added by the Toniq medicine update.

When a currently fully subsidized medicine brand is reference priced, another brand is listed, usually at a lower price, and a patient part charge becomes necessary on the reference priced brand.

Therefore, Pharmacy needs to be alert when ordering stocks of brands that are currently or will become reference priced.

Medicine names in blue are medicines that are kept in the fridge.

Medicine names in red are those that have been marked “Don’t Order”
