Find patients simultaneously taking a Diuretic, an NSAID and an ACE Inhibitor.

Pharmacy may wish to begin to identify patients who are candidates for patient centered services. The Patient Bulk Edit feature can group patients and then refine the group based on a varied set of criteria.
Find patients taking medicines belonging to 3 therapeutic groups.
Stage 1 |
9. Other, 2. Bulk edit patients. Set date range (6 months?) In Therapeutic group – select Diuretics. Press F12 Accept. This generates a list of patients who have had a prescription for a diuretic in the date range selected. F9 Contact Clients – to save the list. Name the Contact list : Patients taking Diuretics * F12 Accept AND F12 Accept - again. You are now back at the 9. Other menu. |

2. Bulk edit patients
Set the SAME date range as before
In Therapeutic group – select Anti-inflammatory Non Steroidal Drugs (NSAIDS) (there are two listed, pick the first).
In On contact list select ‘Patients taking Diuretics’ *
Press F12 Accept.
This list created is of patients are taking both a Diuretic and an NSAID.
F9 Contact Clients – to save the list.
Name the contact list : Patients taking Diuretics and NSAIDS
F12 Accept AND F12 Accept - again.
You are now back to the 9. Other menu – again.

2. Bulk edit patients
Set the SAME date range as before
In Therapeutic group – select Ace Inhibitors
In On contact list select ‘Patients taking Diuretics and NSAIDS’ *
Press F12 Accept.
This is a list of patients taking medicines belonging to ALL 3 therapeutic groups.

*Unwanted contact lists can be deleted later from the Maintain Contact lists option on the Contact menu. Therapeutic group data is sourced from the Pharmac Schedule. Unlisted meds may not be considered….
