Toniq licencing works per workstation, i.e. if you have 5 licences then you can run Toniq on 5 workstations concurrently. The licences are not tied to individual workstations so you can be licenced for 5 and have Toniq installed on 6 workstations.
Example
A pharmacy with 5 licences and 6 workstations (3 Dispensing, 2 Pos and 1 consult) could run those as 3 dispensing and 2 pos and then exit Toniq on a Dispensing or Pos pc to free up the licence and use it on the consult room workstation for a consult. Once done exit on Consult and load the program again on the initial workstation.
User Licence Exceeded
When a pharmacy has more computers than licenses they can experience a "user licence exceeded" error.
Sample Causes
- Toniq is already running on as many workstations as they have licences.
- The computer was turned off without exiting the Toniq program.
- The workstation failed to communicate to the server when Toniq program was exited.
- The workstation has been renamed without exiting the Toniq program.
- The computer died while the Toniq program was still running.
Solutions
- Turn on the computer that was turned off without exiting the computer go back into Toniq program and exit the program.
- Exit Toniq program on all computers and restart the server.
- If the above does not work call Toniq support team 03 3410195.
User Licence Tool
If you do not want to exit Toniq on all computers to resolve and are unsure which workstation is using a licence, there is a tool to check licences in use.
Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Dispensary\ and search for UserLicenceTool
This will list all workstations running Dispensary and Retail plus the Eftpos users.
Once you have found the workstation in question, load up the relevant program and then exit Toniq to relinquish the licence. Click on Refresh Users to confirm.
